Thomas Amoah – CEO
Thomas Amoah is a geological engineer from the University of Science and Technology, School of Mines (USTSM) now George Grant University of Mines and Technology (GGUMAT) He holds MSc in geological engineering and MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Thomas is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientist (AIG) and Economic Society of Geologists and a QP under JORC compliance. His 27 years of working experience has been in Ghana and West Africa, from mine geologist and exploration geologist. His experience is gained across mining companies: Teberebie Goldfields Limited, Ghanaian Australian Goldfields now Anglogold Ashanti Iduapreim Mine and Resolute Amansie Limited all in Ghana. Resource Group Global (RSG), a consulting firm based in Australia. At RSG, he worked on several projects as project geologist locally and internationally. Projects included are Adamus Resources Limited (Nzema Project, Ghana), Aluminium Company of America (Atewa Forest Project ,Ghana), Goldfields Ghana Limited, Damang Mine (Ghana), Azumah Resources Limited, Ghana where he discovered +500,000 ounces of gold, Manor River Resources (Sierra Leone and La Cote d’Ivoire), African Minerals (Tonkolili Iron Ore project), which later became the largest Iron ore deposit in Africa.

Thomas then joined Goldbelt Resources in Burkina Faso as the Exploration manager, and took the Inata gold project through resource definition, bankable feasibility study and subsequently mining. He was also of exploration activities for Avocet in Mali and Guinea.

He then joined Adansi Gold Exploration (Gh) Limited as their first Exploration manager and subsequently became the Vice president (exploration) reporting to the C.E.O. Whilst with Adansi Gold, he discovered 200,000 ounces of gold in the measured and indicated category on the Dynamite Hill. And also increased the global resource of the company to 5 million ounces. He ensured all exploration activities are cost effective and within budget.

Thomas’ area of expertise is taking projects through greenfield, brownfields, feasibility and bankable feasibility study to construction and mining. Mentoring and training of young geologists and geological assistants is his passion. Commodities explored for are Gold, Iron Ore, Bauxite, Diamonds and Phosphate.

Nana Adwoa T. Amponsah-Mensah – Legal Counsel
Nana Adwoa Tweneboah Amponsah-Mensah is a bilingual technology lawyer, entrepreneur, and founder with a strong focus on innovation and impact in Africa. Based in Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana. She is highly engaged in the legal tech industry and is currently serving as the Co-Founder of Zuputo since August 2023. At Zuputo, she plays a crucial role as the operations lead, driving the automation and facilitation of legal solutions for businesses and startups. Additionally, she is holding a concurrent position as In-House Counsel at Nsoromma Resources.

Before her current role, Nana worked as an Attorney at Eight Geeks @ Law, specialising in corporate and commercial transactions for technology startups and businesses. Her previous experience includes working as an Associate Lawyer at The Fair Justice Initiative, working as a Trainee Solicitor at AB and David Africa, and completing her National Service at Exusia Law Consult.

Nana obtained her qualifying degree in law from the Ghana school of law in 2017 and was called to the Ghana Bar. Before then, she completed her Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School and was called to the bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. She earned a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University in 2015. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and French from the University of Ghana and attended Wesley Girls’ High School from 2005 to 2008.

Nana’s skill set includes client relationship management, team leadership, corporate and commercial law, information technology, FinTech, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, labour and employment law, and employment contracts. This diverse range of skills underlines her multifaceted approach to the legal aspects of technology and business.

Dr Bright Oppong Afum, PhD, P.Eng., MAusIMM (CP) – Head Mining Division
Dr Bright Oppong Afum is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Ghana and head of Mining at Nsoromma Resources Ltd. He is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng.), Chartered Professional of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM (CP)), and Consultant in mining and environmental studies.

He is a Qualified Person under the NI 43-101 and JORC Code. He obtained his doctorate’s degree in Natural Resources Engineering (Mining Engineering) from Laurentia University in Canada; master’s degree in Environmental Monitoring and Analysis from the Aberystwyth University in Wales; and bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Mines and Technology in Ghana. He has 15+ years of experience in surface mining, underground mining, small scale mining, project management, environmental impact prediction and modelling, academia, and research in Ghana, Canada, Wales, and Ireland.

He has served on several boards including the Board of Governors of Laurentian University, committees, project teams, and presented several research articles on surface and underground mining, environmental studies, education of professionals, and mathematical programming at several local and global conferences. He is very passionate about mining, environment, projects, education, and innovation research.

Seth Owusu-Sarpong – Head Geology/Geotechnical Division
Seth Owusu-Sarpong is a holder of MSc Degree in Mining Engineer from Stanislaw Staszic University of Science and Technology, Cracov, Poland, with a specialization in Mining Rock Mechanics. He also holds an MSc degree in Finance from Leicester University, United Kingdom. He has over 30 years’ experience in underground hard rock mining. His working experience covers 15 years of gold mining with AngloGold Ashanti, Obuasi Mine, Ghana; 8 years of copper mining with Mopani Copper Mines, (Mufulira, SOB Kitwe and Mindolo SV – underground and surface) in Zambia, and 8 years of consultancy service and lecturing in Ghana.

Seth has been involved in many underground operations of varying ground conditions ranging from very shallow room and pillar mining at Mindolo North to very deep and seismically active Vertical Crater Retreat mining at Mindolo and deep level Open Stoping with delayed hanging wall cave – a hybrid between Open Stoping and Sub-Level Caving, at Mufulira, and Sublevel Caving at SOB, Kitwe, all under Mopani Copper Mines. His experience with AngloGold Ashanti, Obuasi, includes Cut and Filling Mining, Open Stoping with delayed backfill and Sublevel Caving.

His experience includes numerical modeling, ground control management, ground conditions characterization for large underground excavation designs (stopes, workshops, pump chambers, etc.,), mine shaft raise boring characterization, training of mine personnel in underground geotechnics, consultancy services, as well as lecturing in Mining Principles and Rock Mechanics.

Robert Kweku Assabill – Head of Metallurgy
Mr. Robert Kweku Assabill is a trained metallurgist from the University of Science and Technology, UST now Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. He has 21 years of working experience in the extractive industry As a Process Plant Superintendent, Robert managed the Process plant to operate efficiently and within the budget.

His area of work includes the then Teberebie Goldfields, Anglogold Ashanti Iduapreim Mine in Tarkwa and Prestea mine, where he worked with the Ghana Custom Excise and Preventive service on gold accounting processes i.e., (gold production process, validating production records and gold shipment) for the Ghana Government.

Robert has a passion for training his subordinates to industry best practices. Throughout Robert is head of Metallurgy at Nsoromma Resources Ltd, and C.E.O. of Bobbilll Enterprise in Kumasi.

Gilberta Gyanea Armoh, – Administrative/Business Development Officer
Gilberta is a mining engineer by profession, with over two years of practical Mining Industry exposure in Ghana.Having worked in surface and underground mines in companies like Maxam, WAIQ and Pamicor Limited, she has contributed to the achievement of Companies objectives.

Being a QA/QC Engineer for Pamicor Limited, over-seeing all operational activities, Gilberta doubles as an Administrator to Nsoromma Resources Limited. Gilberta has been involved in Nsoromma Due Diligence to Blue Gold International Limited.

Gilberta is keen to learning the essential skills covering the operations of mineral extraction, and to be prepared to handle higher roles and to sustain a profitable safe work practice in the Mining Industry.Her interest to be mentored in all facets of mining industry has led her to be a trainee by Nsoromma Resources Limited in M&A and McKinsey Academy Forward Mentorship program in Leadership, Business and Digital Skills.

She holds BSc degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology. Gilberta is an Associate of AusIMM and member of WIM-Ghana.

Accomplishment

BSc thesis: “Exploring the Benefits of AutoStem Propellants in the Ghanaian Mines”, gained recognition and was presented at the 4th African Scientific, Research and Innovation Council (ASRIC) in Nairobi, Kenya.

Collaborated with team in the development of Blasting Cost Optimization at Maxam site Ghana Manganese Company Limited (GMC).

Developed a KPI: Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) for Jumbos, to track underground development progress at Pamicor Limited.
